Senior Citizen & Disabled Residents

The Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities connects residents and their families with available resources to support seniors and those with disabilities, to remain independent and remain in their homes as long possible.

You can get assistance with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled, and a wide range of other programs. Guidance is provided on issues such as: Employment, Education, Transportation, Housing.

Senior Citizen & Disabled Resident Transportation

If you are a Salem County resident 60 years of age and older or a disabled resident under the age of 60, the Salem County SCOOT Transportation Service is available to you.

Eligibility

  • Salem County Resident
  • 60 years of age or older
  • A person with a disability
  • Person living is designated rural area

Fares

$3.00 one way for a Non-Medical Trip.

Reservations

  • Monday through Friday
  • 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • A minimum of 48 hours / 2 business days advanced notice is required
  • Up to one year in advance
